Residential

EDI’s residential projects illustrate our central concern: to deliver high quality developments driven by the characteristics of the location.

Our first residential project was in Dublin Street in Edinburgh’s New Town in 1995, when we joined forces with The Burrell Company.  This successful collaboration grew to form a joint-venture company, Buredi. This has proved to be an effective and fruitful partnership and its residential developments in the city’s Old Town and beyond have been extensive and varied.

Our reputation as a responsible and sensitive developer has helped us to forge partnerships with the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland and with the National Trust for Scotland, to return the A-listed Lambs House in Leith to residential accommodation.

More than 100 units of architect-designed housing for the homeless have also been created in the Old Town and in Leith thanks to a partnership between ourselves, the City of Edinburgh Council and Dunedin Canmore Housing Association.

Our largest residential development to date is the creation of 2,000 new homes at Craigmillar, through PARC, EDI's joint venture with the City of Edinburgh Council.
