Ratho Park is a speculative office scheme strategically located on the A8 between Edinburgh airport and the Newbridge roundabout giving it excellent access to the transport network.
The first phase was completed in 2002 and provides 24,500 sq ft of offices split into six units. Phase 1 has been successful in attracting tenants including Picsel Technologies and Thermal Transfer.
Following the success of Phase 1, construction started in July 2008 on a second phase - a £14 million hotel and office development.
Designed to achieve a BREEAM “excellent” rating, the 3-storey, Grade A 22,000 sq ft office is the first speculative commercial development in west Edinburgh for two years. Extending EDI's commitment to high environmental standards, the offices will be marketed through a paperless marketing campaign, believed to be the first in Scotland. The office development is expected to take around 12 months, with the 97-bed hotel opening its doors to the first guests in September 2009.
The £8 million hotel is set in landscaped grounds and is being built by EDI for Travelodge who have committed to a long term lease.
The delivery vehicle is Ratho Ventures Ltd a special purpose vehicle wholly owned by The EDI Group.
