Tom Buchanan was elected to the City of Edinburgh Council in 2007, and represents the Liberton/Gilmerton Ward and serves as Convener of the Economic Development Committee.  Tom has a background in both private and public sector economic development issues and has worked on major European structural fund programmes.  A Director of the EDI Group Ltd, Tom also sits on the Board of CEC Holdings Ltd, Scottish Enterprise Edinburgh & Lothian, Edinburgh Convention Bureau Ltd, and the Edinburgh International Conference Centre.  In addition, he is Chair of the Capital City Partnership.
